今年の宮里惟子ガバナーの地区テーマを下記します。それは「大阪のロータリー１００周年を祝おう」です。

大阪ロータリークラブが誕生して今年が１００周年に当たります。４月９日（金曜日）に大阪国際会議場で開催された地区・研修協議会では大阪ロータリークラブから派生して来た２６６０地区の各クラブの系統樹が示されました。

今年１２月１６日、１７日に開催される地区大会には大阪ロータリークラブの記念事業が開催されます。宮里惟子ガバナーは大阪ロータリーの１００周年委員会の委員長であり２６６０地区の組織図を見ますと１００周年誌編集グループや１００周年記念事業実行グループが動き出しているようです。

研修セミナーでは１００周年記念旗が各クラブの会長エレクトに手渡されました。ですから先ずは本年度の会長の最大の役割は１００周年を祝おうと言う事になります。

それから本年度のRI会長はカナダの女性ロータリアン、ジェニファー・ジョーンズさんです。研修・協議会で配布されたジョーンズさんのテーマ講演を読み私は深く感動しました。これを２６６０地区の研修・協議会に配布したのはガバナーの宮里惟子さんの強い意志でしょう。私はこの講演内容を最初の例会でご紹介するつもりです。役員の藤本幹事、増田会員、森本会員、湯川会員、阪口会員、植田会員はこの感動的なstatementを読まれています。

ロータリーの不思議な力を知ること、想像力を力いっぱい働かせること、障壁を取り除くこと、適応し改革することなどです。宮里ガバナーエレクトはDiversity, Equity, Inclusion　即ちDEIの大切さを繰り返し語られました。

「DEIの価値観を取り入れることで、より強力なパートナーシップを構築し、より画期的なプロジェクトを計画し、進化し続ける世界により俊敏に対応できるようになります」とRI会長エレクトは述べています。

さて少し話が観念的になりましたので具体的な本年度の方針を述べます。２０名に届かない会員数ですので、身の丈に合ったクラブ活動を考えています。小粒でもピリリと辛い特徴を生かそうと思います。

私は以下の６個の視点を提案したいと思います。

①これまでの奉仕活動を継続しよう。

②地区のロータリー組織をもっと学ぼう（同時にずいぶん進化したロータリーの友をもっと活用しようと思います。）

③上野直前会長が導入されたハイブリッド会員は増強の新しい手段ですが、「同時にクラブの魅力をどう高めるか」全員で考えたいです。

④zoomを多用したワイワイクラブの活用を図ろう。同時にIT技術の支援が出来ないか工夫します。

⑤卓話の大切さに気付こう。大切なことですが、自己の職業の魅力をもっと語ってほしいです。

⑥大成功したチャリティーコンサートから奉仕活動の原点を学ぼう。

会員各位のコミュニケーションを良くして、まずは親睦を大切に、まるで家族のようにこの１年を乗り切りたいと思いますので皆様のご理解とご支援を心よりお願い申し上げます。

At first, I will show you this year theme of District 2660 by Mrs. Yuiko Miyazato Govenor: Let’s celebrate the 100th anniversary of Osaka Rotary Clubs. At the PETS meeting held at 26th of this March where was shown Phylogenetic tree of 79 clubs in District 2660(Osaka).
Mrs. Miyazato is a chief of 100th anniversary executive committee of Osaka rotary club (concerning edition of commemorative journal and commemorative projects).
At PETS meeting , Governor handed 100th commemorative flag to all club presidents, therefore we all were encouraged to hold gathering to celebrate this festive event, respectively.
Here, I would like to introduce Mrs. Jeniffer Johnes, RI Governor with her impressive statement. Conclusively she let us know the fantastic power of Rotary, letting imagination highly be active and showing the importance of adaptation toward any barrier and constantly conducting reform. And Mrs. Miyazato Governor has been pointing out the importance of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at every occasion.
We are in almost 20 membered club, however, we would like to show our specialty in each area of Service.
Let me introduce following six view points for our this year activities. ① Continuing our services conducted so far ② Learn more about systems of our 2660 district ③ Hybrid member is a very useful means to increase collaborative members ④ Making use of zoom tool for increasing friendship among Rotalians ⑤ Notice the importance of our own business and letting other members know that ⑥ Learn more about the origin of Service from our successful establishment of Charity concert with 19 singers supported by the previous president and all members

About two weeks ago,  Mr. Yoshinori Karawatari（being popular as Mr. Tigers in Kansai Area）, to be exact, on 10^th of March he gave us a table talk about the charm of Enka (Japanese popular song), a very interesting story and the short note about WBC, that is, next game between Japan and Korea should be viewed because of its importance in this world baseball classic tournament.

I am now a retired person with a lot of time to be spent, then I continued to watch three games(against Korea, Czechoslovakia and Australia) on TV. The Samurai Japan is continuing to win one by one, totally four wins. After these four games next is with Italy, Mexico and USA. By the way, Austlaria, Chekosurovakia and Italy, almost all members of these teams are Major leaguers, however, Japan teams have only four Major leaguers, Shohei Otani, Yu Darvish, Laas Nootover and Masataka Yoshida. Every days world baseball classics game were so exiting, gathering a lot of viewers in the world. 

I was so excited with very thrilling games. The Samurai Japan team finally reached the game with USA. As you know the Samurai Japan team win the victory so I was so interested with the expression in the news paper of USA so that I bought Japan Times on 23^rd March edition because this English news paper has been collaborated with New York Times. I would like to introduce their international edition of New York Times as follows.

Headline is -Ohtani’s star outshines Trout’s- What a wonderful euphemistic English Writing these are!                                                                                

The matchup that many had dreamed about all along-between two of the world’s baseball powerhouses and two of its very best players in Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout -is exactly what it came down to.

Ohtani, the two-way phenomenon, was Japan’s designated hitter all game and took the mound in the ninth inning with the chance to close out a title. And with a powerful inning that included a six-pitch strikeout of Trout-his Los Angels Angels teammate-to end it, Ohtani sent Japan into pandemonium. With the 3-2 win , Japan dethroned the United States Thuesday night at LoanDepot Park in Miami and claimed the 2023 World Basball Classic trophy. The United States, which did not embrace the tournament as quickly as some other countries, won the W.B.C the last time it was played in 2017. “This is the best moment in my life,” Ohtani,28 said afterward through an interpreter. To no one’s surprise, he was named the most valuable player of the tournament for his all-around excellence.

 I would like to introduce the words Ohtani addressed his teammates before the game. “If you admire them, you can’t surpass them,” he said, according to reports. “We came here to surpass them, to reach the top. For one day, let’s throw away our admiration for them and just think about winning.”

2020年1月上旬日本での新型コロナウイルス感染が確認されて3年目を迎えますが、現在感染の程度は落ち着いているものの今後ウイルスの動向が不明であり依然として注意が必要な状況となっております。ウイルス蔓延により社会活動、個人の生活にも大きく影響が出ており世界が変わったようにも思える今日この頃です。そのような中でロータリークラブも時を一にして変換点に来ているようであります。

そのような中、クラブそのもののあり方や今まで通りの活動と新しく始める活動をどのように進めてゆくかを見定めて取り組んで行く姿勢が必要となります。

次年度野村会長の活動方針はまさにそのような考えを示されたものであります。従来の活動とともに他クラブの活動に学び、例会の運営に新たな方法・技術を導入することを推進し、最も大切な親睦活動を安心安全のもと充実させましょうと言う事であります。また新入会員につきましてもこれからのクラブを支えてゆく大切な方々ですので暖かく迎えて頂きお声掛け頂きますようよろしくお願い致します。

微力でありますが次年度野村会長をお支えしつつ皆様のご指導、ご協力を何卒よろしくお願い申し上げます。
